A short walkthrough is coming.

One reader. Every site.

No. 01

Any German page, one click.

Tagesschau, Spiegel, Reddit, GitHub, your bookmarked PDFs in a browser tab. If it is German text, it is clickable.

No. 02

In context, every time.

The same gender, case, and meaning-that-fits-the-sentence lookup as the reader. Not a dictionary, not a translator.

No. 03

Reuses your ImmerRead login.

Sign in at immerread.com once. The extension picks up your session automatically. No separate account.

Privacy

Reads only what you click.

The extension stays asleep until you click a word. No background scanning, no tracking, no page contents leaving your browser unless you ask for a lookup. The text you click is used to generate the explanation and is never stored on our servers.

Three steps. Then just read.

  1. Install from the Chrome Web Store (coming soon). One click, no setup.
  2. Sign in at immerread.com once. The extension picks up your session and stays signed in.
  3. Click any German word, anywhere.A pop-up explains it in the context of the sentence. Done.

Things readers ask us.

Which browsers will it support?

Do I need a subscription?

Yes. The extension uses the same lookup engine as the reader, so it needs an active ImmerRead trial or Pro plan. The extension itself is free with every plan.

When does it launch?

Submitted to the Chrome Web Store and pending review. We will announce it on the homepage the moment it goes live.
